For the Love of Magazines

They have become my number one necessity over the past year. I never knew so much excitement could come from flipping the pages of a magazine and gaining so much knowledge and many ideas for my own creative sake. Purchasing magazines and studying the accents and inflection of every different ad-for every ad has its own image to display. And as the reader, it is my job to paint the picture as I read...it may sound weird, but this is a technique I have picked up since I've become addicted to magazines. Every month when each of my subscriptions come in the mail, it's all I've been waiting for. . .

No cameras please!

Haha. Today I was driving down Robertson...and just as me and my dad were talking about how all the celebrities call themselves disguising who they are with that typical look-black sun glasses and some raggedy thrown together outfit, we saw loads of paparazzi w aiting outside of Kitson. I am still not for sure who exactly they were waiting to attack, but they were all leaning up against the glass taking pictures through the windows and all. It was monstrosity. I had never seen live paparazzi before so it was actually exciting to see what I am going to be going through in a couple of years. (smiles)... Excuse the photo, was taken on a sidekick camera so the thousands of paparzzi is not showing clearly. Warning: Images from this camera may seem smaller than they really did appear. lol.

Finally!

dang. they took forever to complete my very specially customized letterman's jacket :)

and yes, I do look like a boy in these pictures. Oh well!.

Sabado.

today I went to D.A.D.A early to take this new stretch class that was just recently added. It was a success my body felt completely stretched...just can't wait 'til I reach my own personal goal and I can give leg...six o clock leg lol. Right now I can say I am around 430 or 5 o clock. But I am working hard...and believe it or not, just watching other dancers inspires me everyday to work even harder. I'm just really excited about moving to CalArts in September-where I will be launching the first steps of my professional career in dancing and acting. Man o' man...when I graduate from CalArts I am going to come outta there dope as fuhh...knowledge in costume design, stage lighting, composition, history of fashion, ballet on pointe, contemporary dance...the list goes on and on. But within my Dance BFA major there are so many other classes I have to take besides dance....and once I graduate, my career will take off. All in the midst of that, I am currently and will continue to work on my soon to come fashion magazine, and my own tee-shirts business...and a side of photography. LOL. I just want to do it all, but nothing more than dance! Welp, I'm just telling my whole life story. I should save some for later. Peace!

as you can see I am bored.

Visiting Carl's Jr.

I believe that every thing, every moment, and every experience is worth being photographically captured- whether it be brushing my teeth or ferociously bobbing my head at the Kanye West Glow In the Dark Concert on June 7th. It's all worth it. So as some of you may think that there is something wrong with me and I take pictures of everything- I do. But there is definitely nothing wrong with me. So these are pics of some land I stepped foot onto today. For the record, my mother and I both ordered the new Chili Cheese Burger Combo- mine without onions and mustard, alongside a medium sized Orange Soda.

Thursday

quench my thirst please!

just came from D.A.D.A danced my butt off in jazz rehearsal, went overtime 15 minutes. Ballet wasn't so painful today. There could not have been anything better than finishing off my water bottle then opening up a fresh new bottle of 100% "natural flavors" (yeah right), of 7up. It did my body good.

My day

Today was finals day for periods three and four. Luckily, I dont have a second third or fourth period, so I didnt have to go to prison today! I am so happy about that. I just kinda wish I did not have this "I hate westchester" attitude my last couple of months of school. As the end of my high school career is approaching, I've become a lot more enthused about my life afterwards-which will begin the day after graduation. I'm not playin no games lol. Anyway, since I didnt have to go to school today I went shopping for my boyfriend's prom outfit! Mission was accomplished with only a little more to do.

Tuesday

My Hot Pink Heatherette Lipstick by MAC.

I love it. It's absolutely gorgeous. I feel like a Barbie with my bubble gum pink nails and my hot pink lipstick. My boyfriend doesn't like it and neither does my dad. Guess what I think about that? SO WHAT! (yelling)...and plus, the package it came in is the shiiittt. LOL.

I get naked for the sun.

I love this hot and sunny weather! It's the beeeest. Spring and summer are my favorite seasons, but MAY is my favorite month. If you know me, you probably know why. Today was a really pretty day. Here's some pictures from prison...

The Undocumented Documentary

SO. I am a great debater, lol (movie title)...but really and truly, I am. I love debating. And immigration is one of the most profound topics any American can debate on. Now don't get me wrong, I am not patriotic. I'm just an opinionated person and I find it intriguing to "argue" my points of view. Last week in my government class we watched a Documentary on immigrants. I gained a lot of knowledge from this film and I found it to be so interesting that I borrowed the DVD from my teacher. I brought it home and watched it with my parents because I was curious to know their opinions. I won't say where my opinions stand on this topic because it can turn into something else, but this movie gave me some sort of change of heart....What do YOU think about immigration to the US?
